Barbie Coloring Pages - An Adult Doll Pleases Children
Barbie came to be because a young girl by the name of Barbara
Handler told her mom she liked playing with dolls that looked
like adults and not like children. So, while on a trip far away,
her mother, Ruth Handler found a doll named Lilli that looked
more like an adult and she brought it home for her daughter. Lilli's
name was soon changed to Barbie, after Barbara, of course, and
the tale of Barbie began. Ruth and Elliott Handler created the
company Mattel to make Barbie for children all over the world.
Later, Barbie's full name became Barbara Millicent Roberts and
Mattel created family and friends for her. First there was her
permanent beau Ken. And family additons included Skipper, tiwns
Tutti and Todd, Stacie, Kelly and baby Krissy. Do you think Barbie's
family ever colored Barbie Printable Coloring Pages? If so, do
you think they had a favorite of the barbie coloring pages?
Probably not; after all, Barbie is a relative! Barbie did more
than spend time with her family though. She has had many great
careers. She has worked as a doctor, a dentist, a nurse, fashion
designer creating great color clothes, a model for the runway
and for print pages, an astronaut and even a firefighter. In
fact,
she eventually ran for president (as a member of the Party of
Girls) and also competed in the Olympics as a gymnast and as
a
figure skater.
Wow! That Barbie was one busy gal.
Back in the beginning, before Barbie started work and before she
had her family, she had hair so long that it went all the way
down her back and touched her toes! Of course, she had to get
it cut before she tripped on it and fell down. Since then, she
has kept her blonde hair shoulder length and has remained one
of the most popular dolls and figures in coloring pages worldwide.
