Dragon Coloring Pages - Bringing Fire-Breathing Creatures to
Life
It is believed that many, many, many years ago, dragons roamed
the Earth. These fire-breathing reptiles were thought to have
bad tempers and when angered, would spit fire out of their mouths.
More recently, dragons have been used in different stories,
perhaps
the most popular being the Harry Potter books and movies. Now,
whether you add fire to the Dragon Coloring Pages or not is
up
to you, but before you do, you may want to learn about all the
other things dragons may have. For instance some may have glowing
red eyes; and other long sharp teeth or claws and big wings so
they can fly. Some may be very tiny or some very large. You
can
use dragon colouring pages to create a dragon that is all your
own, adding wings, teeth, horns even glowing red eyes!
In the Harry Potter series, you may remember the Ashwinder dragon.
You know, the one with the glowing eyes that was created when
a "magical fire" burned too long without being watched.
And then there is the Grindylow dragon with big teeth and long
claws. The Grindylow dragon is pale green and has huge horns and
lives his life mostly in the water and is said to pull people
into the water when they get to close. Wouldn't he be fun to color!
And the Hinkypuk dragon is one-legged, smaller in size (almost
skinny) and is made of smoke, while the cat-like dragon, the Kneazle
dragon, has large ears, spotted fur and a long cat-like tail,
making these dragons fun to recreate in your very own online coloring
pages.
On these Coloring Pages to Print, you can add anything to the
dragons you like. Keep in mind as you do that there are even dragons
that look like huge birds and some that look like large snakes,
so let your imagination run wild - dragon wild, that is!
