Halloween is a day for costumes, candy and great fun. Do you
and your friends go trick-or-treating? Do you dress as a goblin,
ghost or perhaps something nice like a fairy or
a farmer? On Halloween coloring pages printable, you can be
anything you want to be,
and it doesn't even have to be Halloween! That's right. Free
halloween coloring pages let you celebrate
Halloween any day. Now, that's a real treat and this one won't
give you
cavities.
But, if mom and dad take you trick-or-treating on Halloween and
if you go with your friends, make sure to remember your costume,
for you have to be in disguise to get the treats. And what's
Halloween
without candy?
In Scotland, they celebrate Halloween, too, but it is called
guising. And our neighbors in Canada (just above the United States)
celebrate
Halloween, too, as do children in Ireland and Australia.
The name "Halloween" actually comes from the word Hallowe'en,
which is still used in Scotland and refers to the day before the
Catholic All Saints holiday, a religious holiday. In Ireland,
they refer to Halloween as Hallow Eve.

Trick-or-Treat Time!
And children everywhere trick-or-treat and go to parties on
this day (October 31) and some even go to carnivals or school
celebrations where they bob for apples or color pictures for
the Halloween picture contest. You may want to have your own
Halloween
picture coloring contest this year. All you have to do is print
out Free Coloring Print Pages for Kids and
share them with your friends. Then, you can ask your mom or
dad to be the judge of the coloring
pages, with the winner getting a special Halloween treat!
